Saturday Ramsay and I ventured out for a bit and did a little bit of shopping and walking so daddy could have some downtime at home alone. He's doing a great job at home with Ramsay during the week but I know sometimes it's nice to just have a little break away so you don't have to worry about Ramsay and his needs. Ramsay and I went to Toys R Us, which has now become one of our regular stores, and then we went to the mall and did some walking around and a little shopping. I got a great deal on a winter coat for Ramsay for next year and a couple more sleepers for him. Poor guy only has a couple sleepers that are 3-6 months and he'll soon be wearing those so I thought I better get a couple more! Since we don't leave the house with him to much he pretty much just wears sleepers all the time.
Yesterday, Sunday, Larry and I actually got to escape for a couple hours ALONE and we went to see a movie! It was so weird when we left home and we were walking to the car. We felt funny not having our baby boy with us and all his things. It was nice though to have some time with each other and not have to focus all of our attention on Ramsay. I am proud of the both of us for staying awake for the entire movie! A big thanks to Katie for hanging out with Ramsay for us!
This morning I awoke and pretty much started my daily routine of immediately getting out of bed and pumping and I thought about going back to bed for a bit but decided just to stay up and try to get some homework done before my little guy woke up. I went to check on the little guy and he had his face all covered with with his swaddle blanket and I moved it down to uncover his face and there he was, sucking his thumb! I left him alone for awhile and started to do some homework and then I heard "noises" coming from his room. I knew he was awake but he wasn't doing his normal talking like he does. He was doing a grunting noise. I walked into his room, looked over his crib and this is what I found!

He had managed to get his legs out of his swaddler but couldn't get his arms free so he was grunting trying to get them out! I was cracking up at him as he had never done that before. Every now and then he'll get his arms out of the top but he's never managed to get his legs out. He's so silly!!
We're all pretty much in a daily routine now during the week which is nice. I get up at 5:30am and take care of my mommy business and then get ready for work. I then unswaddle Ramsay any where between 6:30-6:45am and let him stretch a little bit in his crib before getting him out. He gets his first morning bottle about 7am which is 6 ounces. He then eats about every 3 hours during the day and stays on that schedule for the most part. He's not a big sleeper during the day at all, just take cat naps throughout. We've been trying to work on getting him to bed earlier in the evenings so that I can have a couple hours of quiet time to do homework. Some nights it works out and some nights it doesn't. Ideally he would have his last bottle of the night at 7pm and then be in bed no later than 8pm. We are doing our best to get him on this schedule but it's challenging some nights. Lucky for us though he has been sleeping through the night since he was about a month old so at least we are getting plenty of sleep during the night! Hopefully we can get his transitioned this week for an earlier bedtime since Larry starts school in a week. He'll be going to class four nights a week so I'll be on my own four nights a week which wouldn't be bad if I didn't have homework that has to be done! Ramsay and I might have to have a little chat about what mommy expects from him when daddy's at class.
Here's our precious baby boy sitting next to mommy on the couch this afternoon watching "Next Great Baker". He was having a good time smiling, talking, and laughing at mommy.
