What a weekend!

Welcome summer! Can't believe how warm and humid it managed to get this weekend. A week ago it was cold and now here we are, sweating! Gotta love Illinois weather!
Not to much exciting happened this weekend. The puppies got to enjoy some time on Saturday out at Kennekuk Park. They were totally wiped out when we got home and slept the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was great!
Sunday I managed to mow the yard, in a few different shifts since it was so hot and I tire easily these days. I also managed to hold off turning on the a/c until last night. The house didn't feel to bad until last night and then it was humid and sticky so I broke down and turned it off so I would be able to sleep and be more comfortable. The puppies didn't mind having the air on either! They didn't want to stay outside very long at all yesterday since it was so warm.

Here's my latest picture at 17 weeks. I can't believe I have a baby belly going already. I can't imagine what I am going to look like when I get further along! I may tip over from being top heavy!

Our next appointment is June 9th and as long as our goblin cooperates that day we'll find out the sex. We're trying to figure out how we want to share the news with our families when we find out. It's going to be a very exciting time and the grandmas will FINALLY be able to get shopping, which I know Larry's mom has been ready to do for a long time!

Hope everyone has a great week and great Memorial Day weekend! My birthday falls on Memorial Day this year and we haven't planned anything yet, other than sleeping in! Stay cool if you can!

Appointment

I had an appointment this past Friday and got to hear that heartbeat again! Heart rate was 156. So exciting to hear that on the monitor! Everything looks great with the baby! Next appointment is in a few weeks and I'll have a sono then and find out the sex. Can't wait!

Yesterday we went to Crystal Lake park in the morning to watch Corey and Murelle run in the Twin City Twosome 5K. This was Murelle's first official race and she did a GREAT job! Corey ran with her the entire time and they finished at 26 minutes, 36 seconds. She was wiped afterwards but it was so exciting to be there cheering her on! Afterwards we venture down to Mattoon to spend the day with grandma. We did a little shopping and had lunch at Lee's Famous Recipe, and then of course hit the Carter's store on our way home. I was tired from all the running around but it was a good day and of course I found some deals on baby clothing!

Tomorrow is the official start date of my early summer session class although I got my syllabus on Friday. I already have 3 assignments due on Tuesday! This class is online and for 3 weeks so it's going to be a very rough three weeks I think but at least it will be over with soon. I just hope I can survive it!

Mother's Day Weekend

What a weekend we had! Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Kickapoo with Larry's parents, sister, grandma A, grandma M, uncle JR and family, uncle Jimbo, and my mom. We had chicken from Lee's Famous recipe and everyone brought a dish to share. There was so much food and I ate so much but man it was very good! Perfect day for hanging out with family. There was a bit of fishing that was done buy no one was having luck getting any bites so it didn't last very long.

Today we had a sonogram at the Pregnancy Resource Center. They are doing training for techs that are in school to do sonos so we got to go and have a free sonos done so they could learn and we could see the baby. It was amazing! The baby was moving all around, kicking his/her legs and waving their arms in the air! We were so excited to see the little one on the big screen.

Here's the goblin waving at everyone that was in the sono room. Our little one is very photogenic already!

We LOVE this picture of the baby! Full body shot!

Just for going in and letting them do a sono we got a nice gift from the PRC. Someone had made a bunch of baby quilts and wrapped them up in packages along with some diapers. We enjoyed going in there just so we could see the little one but it was even better to get a little gift on the way out!

First belly shot!

This picture was taken at 13 weeks. Now I know I'm not a small girl to begin with but I definitely have a belly already, just not the full blown nice rounded baby belly! That will come soon enough.

Today is such a beautiful day! The sun is shining (for now) and the temp is just right. I have the windows open and fans going and Larry has gone fishing so I get to relax in peace and quiet for a few hours! Tonight I have plans for a girls night out at Sleepy Creek Vineyards to see Miles Nielsen perform. It will be a great show but hard to resist drinking the wine while I'm there as I love it so much!
