Big Boy Bed Flop

Well, there's been an issue with the big boy bed. The rails that came with the bed are spaced pretty far apart and two nights in a row Ramsay fell out of his bed. :( Poor guy. At least his bed isn't that far off the ground. Luckily, daddy went shopping and found a mesh bed rail at All Things Kids and so I took the rails off of his bed that came with it and replaced it with the mesh bed rail. SUCCESS!! It's perfect and leaves just enough room at the head of his bed for him to get in and out all on his own. He's such a big boy now! I'm still working on the decorations for his Cat in the Hat room. I started working on the roman shade last night and ran out of red/white striped material so I need to get some more. The shade is going to be super cute once it's all done and hanging up at the window. Once it's complete I can begin working on the quilt!

Here we Go, Go, Go, Go.......on an adventure!

This weekend didn't start out to be busy but it ended up that way. Ramsay's room was transformed into a big boy room! His crib was converted to the toddler bed and his room got a makeover with some paint. He now has his very own big boy Cat in the Hat room! I'm still working on some decorations and a new roman shade for his room, but the walls are done and they look awesome. So good that I want to hang out in his room!

4th of July and many other things!

I'm trying to get caught up on here but time just flies by and I don't get it done. It's been a busy summer for us but we are enjoying it! Ramsay is doing swim lessons at the YMCA right now and he loves it! We sing songs and play in the water. He loves to swim and can't get enough of it! We've been to Sholem pool once this year to swim and had a blast. Ramsay especially loved the little water slide in the baby pool. All he wanted to do was keep going down the slide. Today is the 4th of July and we had a busy day, and a hot one too! We went to Danville to a family gathering for just a little bit but didn't stay long since it was so hot out. Ramsay's face was beat red and of course the child won't sit still long enouhg to cool off. I managed to get a picture of him with Great Great Grandma Strange. After the family gathering we went to Nanny and Pawpaw's house for the rest of the afternoon. This was a very exciting day as this was Ramsay's first time at their house. He had a great time and wore himself out, and Nanny and Pawpaw were excited to finally have their number one grandson in their home. It was a great time! Ramsay enjoyed playing with his cousin Emma's necklaces, baby dolls, and make-up.
