Weekends?
Weekends really do just fly by. Ramsay and I usually don't plan a whole lot on the weekends but the past two have been a little busier than usual. A week ago Saturday we went to Bloomington for the evening to visit with my girlfriend Lacey, her son Jackson, and her parents. Life is just so busy for the two of us that we don't get to meet up very often and believe it or not, this was the first time she had met Ramsay. I had not seen her since my baby shower! We had a great visit and Ramsay was so welled behave. He was intrigued with a step that Lacey's parents have as they have a sunken family room. Ramsay thought he was big stuff going over to the step and sitting down on it. He was so proud of himself.
This weekend mom, Ramsay and I went to visit my grandma in Mattoon. Ramsay and I had not been down to see grandma since Christmas Eve so it was a visit that was long overdue! Grandma loves hanging out with Ramsay and I get so tickled at the two of them playing together. At one point Ramsay was sitting next to me on the couch and grandma was sitting next to him and she kept kissing his cheeks and tickling him and he would just giggle. I cherish those moments.
Ramsay and I have been attending First Christian Church in Champaign the past few weeks. We started going at an awkward time as they were preaching about "The Story" and were about half way through when we started going, but none the less we are going. Ramsay seems to enjoy the nursery and I love that they sing songs and do lessons with them, even though they are tiny little people. The past two Sundays I have attended a class after the service called Connect @ FCC. It's for newcomers to the church and gives an overview of the church and how they function, etc. I feel very comfortable there and I can see myself getting plugged into the church in a few different ways, I just need to figure out which ways are the best! All in all though I am excited about this new adventure for Ramsay and myself and I see great things in the future for us.
Here is a picture of Ramsay playing with mommy's tablet. Every time he sees me get it out he comes running over. He thinks it's his! I downloaded a few toddler games and just today I downloaded a toddler piano app and he was playing it and cracking up at himself. It was so cute.

My newest addiction is Pinterest. If you are familiar with the website you will understand. If you aren't familiar with the website don't get on there! You'll be stuck on there FOREVER getting lots of ideas! This one I fell in love with and it was super cheap to do. I bought a 1x4x6, spray painted it yellow, and added the black numbers and lines. How cool is that to turn a 1x4x6 into a life size ruler and use it as a growth chart! Now Ramsay will always have his growth chart no matter where we live.
