Fun Filled Weekend & 8 Months Old!!

Boy what a weekend we have had and here it is, Monday and I'm exhausted and in need of a nap! We had a lot of fun this weekend! Saturday Daddy, Ramsay and I went to CRCE on campus and went swimming! Ramsay got this super cute car to use in the water from a co-worker of mine and we promised it that he could take it driving over the weekend. lol It's so cute and Ramsay loved sitting in it while daddy and mommy took turned pulling him around the pool!



































Yesterday Ramsay and I took a long walk around our end of town. We walked to Hessel Park, looped around the park 4 times, and then went home. All in all I think we were gone just over 2 hours. I love to walk and he loves to be outside in the stroller so it was a great time! We also went back to the park last evening for music and we met my mom and a friend. It was fun. Ramsay had a good time but he wasn't really listening to the music, he was wiggling around all over the place!

Picnic Lunch on the Quad

Daddy and I met mommy on the Quad for a picnic lunch today. The only way mommy and daddy could contain me was laying me down and giving me a bottle. Otherwise, I was on the move.................

Swim Lessons

What a week this has been so far and it's only Wednesday! Ramsay and I started swim lessons on Monday and we'll be doing that every Monday and Wednesday evening for six weeks. He had a blast splashing around in the water. I think I need a pair of goggles to protect my eyes from all the water that gets splashed on my face! Since I was alone with him at swim lessons I didn't get any pictures of us in the water together but hopefully this evening I can get some since my mom will be joining us. I'm so thankful that Ramsay loves the water and I have a feeling we will spend lots of time swimming all year long.

Last night Ramsay and I went to St. Joe for a grilling get together at the Mabry household. It was such a great evening and it was so nice to see people I hadn't seen in awhile. Even better that I really didn't have to do baby duty as there was enough people there that they just passed Ramsay around! Of course he's so adorable it was hard for people to give him up and pass him along. I'm hoping we'll be able to make it out there the next couple Tuesdays before I get busy in July with various commitments and with moving. I'll be happy when we are all moved and settled in.

Tomorrow evening Ramsay and I have plans with my dear friend Lesa and her daughter who are visiting from Kentucky. They haven't seen Ramsay since early January I believe and he's grown so much since then and has gotten such a BIG personality. He's so much fun and very entertaining. They will laughs lots, guaranteed! :)

What a hot weekend and Tooth #2!!!

Do we love Illinois weather or what? Not really........This weekend has been very crazy with the weather. Friday it was super hot and Larry and I took a little stroll after work with our bicycles. Needless to say we were sweating a bit afterwards and we didn't even go that far! Saturday was just as hot, if not hotter. Ramsay and I walked to my Weight Watcher meeting and thank goodness it's at 7:30 a.m., otherwise I'm pretty sure we would have melted going there and back. We talked about going to the pool on Saturday but it was SOOOOOOO hot and we didn't have a swim shirt for Ramsay so we decided to just stay in and veg out in the air conditioning. Today was much different. It started out raining and storming but then it cleared up and the sun was shining and the temperature was just right. There was also a breeze that was perfect. Days like today I wish we had a deck or patio to sit on and enjoy the evening. Larry worked today so Ramsay and I went to Fisher to visit a friend for a couple hours. It was nice to get out for a bit. The big news though is that Ramsay now has tooth #2!! He's been working on it for awhile and has been pretty crabby and it FINALLY broke through the skin today! Hopefully he will get back to being his happy self all of the time now until another one comes in. He's getting so big so fast!
