7 Months and Memorial Day Weekend

Wow, our baby alligator is 7 months old! Time just keeps flying by faster and faster. I am loving every minute of it though! He is such a joy and a wonderful little guy to be around. We are so very blessed to have such a happy lil man! He makes us laugh daily, even when he's fussy and upset. He's currently working on tooth #2 and I keep teasing him because his first tooth came on Mother's Day weekend, this tooth is coming around my birthday (which is tomorrow), so he needs to work on another tooth for daddy for Father's Day to make it fair! :) Not sure we want a grouchy alligator though again. He's been a real pill this past week since that tooth is working it's way up. We try to be patient but sometimes it can be difficult.

Saturday Ramsay and I went out to my mom's place to visit for the day. Daddy had been having a few rough days with our cranky teether so I gave him the day off so he could relax and get some much needed rest. He also had to work that evening so he needed to take it easy and veg out. The weather was not that great and it rained alot but good thing we planned just to stay inside and hang out.
Sunday Larry treated me to a movie and lunch for an early birthday gift. We went to see the Hangover Part 2 which was amazing and so funny! Afterwards we did a little running around before stopping by Ko Fusion to get some $1 sushi to take home. We rested at home for a bit and then the three of us headed to Hessel Park for their Music in the Park series that started. We stayed about an hour and it was a perfect night to be sitting outside listening to music. Ramsay really enjoyed himself and was even playing his "keys" hoping the band would ask him to join them on stage.

Today mom, Ramsay, and I went to Mattoon to visit my grandma. She hadn't seen Ramsay for a couple months so it was nice to take him down there and visit. We had a cookout however because it was so hot and windy we ended up staying inside the house. All in all it was a good trip though and Ramsay was tuckered out by the time we got home. Maybe daddy will get lucky and he'll sleep in tomorrow morning. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping he will!

Uneventful Weekend...............for the most part

Our past weekend was pretty uneventful really. Mom, Ramsay and I went to Parkland Firday night for a little party the Adult Re-Entry department was having for the graduates who worked with their office. Lasted about an hour or so and that was pretty much the only thing we did this weekend! Larry worked both Saturday and Sunday evening so Ramsay and I relaxed at home and watched a lot of Golden Girls! We love that show!
Below is one of the photographs taken at Ramsay's 6 month session. I just love it!!!!!!

Graduation Weekend

This has been an exciting weekend, well exciting Friday night that is! My Parkland graduation was Friday evening and I'm so glad I participated in the ceremony. It was hot and long but so worth it! I hadn't done that since high school! Here's a picture of mom and I after the ceremony. I had pictures taken with Larry and Ramsay before the ceremony but not with our camera so hopefully I can get copies of those soon!

Saturday morning Ramsay and I were supposed to walk a 5K but because of the cold rainy weather we didn't get to do it. I was really bummed as I had really been looking forward to it. I could have probably walked without him but I didn't want to take a chance in getting myself sick and then passing it onto him. Mom stayed with us Friday night and after Larry went to work Saturday we ventured to the mall to walk around just to get out for a bit.
Today Larry has been working all day so Ramsay and I have been bums at home all day which was fine with me since it's been cold and rainy all day. I don't seem to have any problems snuggling and cuddling with him on days like today! :)
Here's a picture of Ramsay's first tooth! It's taken me awhile to get a good one that was close up and not blurry but I finally got it!

Mother's Day and a Tooth!

This Mother's Day was my first official Mother's Day and it was great! Although the three of us haven't been feeling well this past week, it was just nice relaxing at home together as a family. We don't get to do that very often these days so it was great! The weather turned out to be great so Ramsay, Grandma Paula, and I took a walk Mother's Day evening and it was fabulous!
Saturday morning when Ramsay got up and about he was chewing on my finger and I felt something sharp in his mouth. Yep, that's right, A TOOTH!!! His tooth finally poked through his gums and was showing itself. It was barely out but enough where you could feel it! Mother's Day it was poking out even more. I'm so excited, my baby boy is getting big so fast!!!!
Ramsay had his 6 month appointment today and he now weighs 17 pounds, 11 ounces and is 26.4 inches long. The doctor said he is doing great and he's getting plenty of nutrients and vitamins! He's starting to eat solid foods on a daily basis now and he's loving it! The newest food he has tried is chicken! Daddy cooked him a chicken and mixed it in with some sweet potatoes. He's been a pig so far with that combination! Our baby alligator is becoming a little boy alligator and it makes me sad to see him growing so quickly!

Just Some Pics

Rolling ALL OVER the place!!!

Darn footstool is in my way!

Chillin' on mom and dad's bed working on my laptop.

Mommy and I LOVE the Golden Girls! (Shhh, don't tell daddy!)

Busy, Busy Weekend!

What a crazy weekend we have had for sure, but a great one!
Friday night after work Ramsay and I picked up my mom and headed to Sleepy Creek Vineyards for their "unofficial" first Wieners and Wine! It was a beautiful evening to sit outside and roast hot dogs by the fire. Ramsay was a trooper and got to experience his very first winery visit. (Outside of my belly that is!) I always have a great time at Sleepy Creek and I love their wine! I hate not living as close to them now because it's harder to get out there, but I appreciate the visit so much more now! It was a great time and something we'll have to do a few more times this summer!
Saturday was a little crazy around Champaign-Urbana with the Illinois Marathon going on. We had Ramsay's 6 month pictures Saturday morning in Monticello and it was a bit of a challenge to get to them but we finally made it out of C-U. It was a perfect morning as the sun was shining and the temperature was nice. I'm anxious to see the final pictures! I think she got some very good shots.
Sunday Larry's mom and dad came over for a visit. We didn't get to see them Easter Sunday since Ramsay wasn't feeling well so they came over to give Ramsay his Easter basket and to also celebrate Mother's Day as well. It was a great visit and of course, grandpa and grandma can never get enough of him! I bet if we turned our heads for just a second they would stuff him into a bag and take him home! I don't blame him though, he's absolutely adorable!
Larry has been working a lot when he's not in class or taking care of Ramsay. He is worn out and his poor body doesn't know how to act with standing on his feet for hours at a time. He loves his job though and is happy to be back in the working world.
I hit a milestone this weekend that I am so thrilled about! Since joining Weight Watchers 4 weeks ago, I have lost a total of 15.4 pounds which is very exciting. But the BIG NEWS is that with my pregnancy, I gained 54 pounds and as of this weekend, I have officially lost all of the baby weight, plus an additional 2.2 pounds. I WAS THRILLED when I saw that number! Now that Ramsay is here, I realize that in order to be the best mom and to teach him a healthy lifestyle, I need to really take care of myself and eat better and exercise, which I am doing. I walk to work everyday and most days I walk home as well, and with Weight Watchers I am eating better and feeling great! Ramsay and I are participating in our first 5K walk in a couple weeks and I am very excited! Ramsay loves to be outside so this will be something fun for the two of us to do together.
