Easter and Guinness World Record

What a weekend this has been! So much has happened I'm not sure where to start. Larry started his new job a week ago and he's been working whenever he's not at home with Ramsay or at class. He's super excited and loving it so far. All I hear about at home now is sushi this and sushi that. Guess I better start loving sushi!
We believe our baby alligator is really working on some teeth! He has not been himself for the past 4 days and has been running a fever. Poor fella just doesn't know what to do. Today was the first day since Wednesday that he ate any solid foods so that made me feel so much better. Hopefully he's on the upside of this spell and we see a little tooth poking through soon!
I signed up for Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago and I attend meetings every Saturday morning. Since starting I have managed to lose 11.8 pounds. I'm 1.4 pounds away from pre-baby weight and it feels so great! It's been easy so far to lose the weight, I just hope I can keep it up.
Ramsay and I participated in an event held in Savoy Saturday morning that was so much fun! I debated whether to take him or not since he wasn't feeling well but I decided to wing it since the event was a once in a lifetime opportunity! We participated in the Great Cloth Diaper Change in C-U which, along with places all around the world, gathered people to set a Guinness Boook of World Records for the most cloth diapers changed simultaneously. It was an awesome event sponsored by B. Lime Baby and Babyland. They provided lots of free goodies and door prizes. It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad we went. This is definitely something I won't forget! A tree is even being planted in every child's name that particpated. What a great way to celebrate Earth Day!
Here he is, in his official Guinness World Record spot and ready to go! (Literally!)

Gearing up for the big moment!

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE! Time for all the diapers to be changed!

Once we were done changing the diaper, they asked that we stand up so they know when everyone was done. What a fun time we had!

Meghan Miller Photography was also at the event taking pictures of all the little ones that were getting their diapers changed. She got a couple really great pictures of Ramsay! He's such a ham in front of the camera.

Poor Ramsay wasn't feeling good still today so we stayed home all day and didn't venture out at all. He took a 3 hour nap today which is very unlike him but obviously he needed it! Poor fella. He was excited to see his Easter basket when he got up this morning though! He was ready to play with all the goodies as soon as he saw it! The Easter Bunny left Ramsay a lap top, cell phone, Lil Zoomers truck, and a basket of vegetables.

Bath Time Fun!

Tonight Ramsay tried out his rubber duckie bath tub that his grandma and grandpa Arnold gave him for Christmas. It will be much easier for him when he can sit up on his own but at least now he has more room to move around and can splash his feet which he loves to do!

Weekends Fly By Way To Fast!

Did we really just have a weekend off from work? Sure doesn't feel like it. The weekends just fly by way to fast for me!
Friday night after work Ramsay and I did a little shopping together. We went to Toys R Us and County Market. Exciting stuff, right?!
Saturday was just a day at home. It was mom's weekend at the U of I so we knew Champaign-Urbana would be crazy busy with all the mom's in town. My student worker (and friend) from work surprised her mom Saturday afternoon by coming to our place for a yummy lunch that Larry made! We were excited to have them over and they were excited to get to spend some time with Ramsay. He's so spoiled by everyone! They even gave him a big Easter egg with a bib, burp rag, and sleep gown in it. All of them so very cute!
Yesterday Ramsay and I went out to Meadowbrook park for a nice walk. It was a bit windy but Ramsay didn't seem to mind as he feel asleep. Must have felt pretty good to him! I made sure Ramsay had lots of sunscreen on as well as his hat and shades to protect his face, eyes, and head. He looked so stylin!

Nimbus was a happy camper on Saturday since we had the windows open. He was enjoying the fresh air more than any of us!

He was bummed yesterday when we closed the windows and turned the air on. It was so hot in our place yesterday and almost 80 degrees that we couldn't take it anymore! We don't get a lot of air in our windows since we're on the second floor and surrounded by buildings. We've also noticed that since El Toro has opened up downstairs our place is a lot warmer as well. I think we're right above the kitchen. Not bad in the winter time but it's going to kill us this summer! Thankfully we'll be moving at the end of July to a duplex a couple blocks from where we live now. I'm not looking forward to the actual move but we're excited to be some place where it feels more like a house and we'll have a garage which will be nice. At least we have a couple months to start preparing so it won't be so bad!

Ramsay's First Celebrity Encounter

What a weekend we had! Ramsay got to meet his very first celebrity! We attended the Home and Garden show at the Assembly Hall on Saturday and Ramsay and I were lucky enough to have our picture taken with Frank Fritz from the History Channel show "American Pickers". We love that show and watch it all the time at home so when we found out Frank was going to be here in our neck of the woods we said we had to go and see him!

Before going to the Home and Garden show we went to Lincoln Square to their "Ready, Set, Grow" event they were having. It was neat but since Ramsay is so young he didn't get to enjoy all the games and stuff they had. He did get his picture taken with an alligator which we thought was very appropriate since we call him baby alligator! All in all a great weekend and the weather was wonderful as well. Looking forward to many more wonderful weekends when summer time comes!
