5 Months Old

Our beautiful baby alligator is 5 MONTHS OLD already! Where in the world has the time gone? He is so much fun and we laugh at him all the time! We catch ourselves making fun of his silly noises after he goes to bed in the evenings. It's nice to have down time but it's boring once he goes to bed. He keeps us entertained when he's awake!

I took these photos later in the evening so he wasn't in an outfit nor did I want to play dress up with him just to make his pictures look better! Poor guy has been fussy lately and we think his gums are really bothering him once again. Poor Sophie doesn't get a dry moment because he always has her in his mouth!
We're anxiously awaiting warm weather so we can be outside more! I am going crazy being stuck inside in the evenings when it's still daylight out although things are pretty busy right now. I'm finishing up my last semester at Parkland and I'll be graduating in May. I'm looking forward to taking the summer off before starting at the University of Illinois at Springfield in the fall. I'll get to enjoy Ramsay's first summer with him and I know it's going to be a blast!

3 Month Photos

I'm a little late in posting these but here are a few of Ramsay's 3 month photos! They all turned out so good it was hard to choose which ones we wanted prints of! I'll be posting his 5 month picture later.

Sweet Potato Face

Ramsay is not a fan of cereal at all. We have tried several times with no luck. Today daddy decided to cook and puree a sweet potato to see how baby alligator liked it. He liked it SO MUCH that he was helping daddy hold the spoon and put it in his mouth!

Weekend Getaway

This past weekend the 3 of us ventured up north to Bolingbrook and Naperville. Saturday was such a great day weather wise! A little windy but the temperature was nice and we got to do quite a bit of walking. Ramsay got his first car ride in his new car seat. Pretty sure he liked it as he snoozed a lot in it!

After a bit this is what it really looked liked in the back seat! NO MORE SOCKS!!

First thing we did was stop and eat at Red Robin, YUM! Larry had never been there before so I insisted that's where we eat lunch as I LOVE their Freckled Lemonade!

After Red Robin we went to IKEA and man was that place hoppin'! Lots of people there and so many things to see. Ramsay started getting fussy towards the end of our visit there so we kind of zoomed through there but we still got a few things. We even bought him a couple Easter presents from there. Shhh, don't tell him!
After IKEA we went to The Promenade shopping center which was pretty cool. We started off at the Bass Pro Shop store. Papa was IN LOVE! Ramsay is telling his girlfriend Sophie all about Bass Pro Shop.

After the mall we went to the hotel and just relaxed the rest of the evening. We took Ramsay swimming in the pool at the hotel but that didn't last long. There were some kids swimming/jumping in the pool (they had been doing this for at least 2 hours when we got there) but did they bother to stop splashing when there was a baby in the pool? NO!! And did their mothers tell them to calm it down? NO!! I was a little perturbed to say the least. How rude!!! But Ramsay looked stinkin' cute in his little swim shorts! The boys did take a nap before we went to the pool!

Yesterday morning we got up and just layed around for a bit before packing up and leaving. Ramsay loved lounging in the big king size bed!

After leaving the hotel we went to downtown Naperville (which I have always loved) and did a little shopping! Papa found a couple stores that he's in love with and can't wait to go back! Twisted Olive is one that has some unique olive oils which are pretty neat and the other is Penzeys Spices. I was a little overwhelmed in that store! So many spices but it was very neat. We always found a cloth diaper store by the name of Comfy Bummy Diapers so of course we had to check that out. It was neat and we bought a couple hemp inserts for Ramsay's diapers.
Our last stop in Naperville was Lou Malnati's. I LOVE LOU'S!!! So of course any time I am up there I HAVE to buy some frozen pizzas to take home and we did just that. Can't wait for dinner tonight, Lou's is it!
Finally this is just a random picture that we took a couple weekends ago. It was just to cute!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Our baby alligator sporting his Lucky Charm sleeper for St. Patrick's day! I'm pretty sure we have the most adorable baby boy in the ENTIRE world. Just sayin.....

Ramsay and his girlfriend Sophie

What can we say. Our son is in love already and he's not quite 5 months old! He LOVES his girl Sophie the Giraffe and we take her everywhere we go! We get so tickled at him when he's chewing on her ears and it makes a noise. She is a life saver though and I'm so glad we have her around to keep him content and happy!

Sunday Evening Already?!?!?!

Where oh where exactly does the weekend go? I hate that I only get two days at home with my little guy and it seems that time just flies by every weekend. We didn't really do much this weekend other than veg out at home and play with our little man! I did manage to clean Ramsay's room from top to bottom and rearrange it a bit. It just amazes me that one little person can have so much stuff!
Today we ventured out to the mall just to walk around and get out for a bit. Papa dressed Ramsay for our outing and I guess he thought he needed to be all dressed up since it is Sunday. He was definitely stylin while riding around in the stroller!

Every day I am amazed by this handsome little alligator of ours! He shows more and more of his personality every day and I love it!

4 Month Appointment

Ramsay had his 4 month appointment today. He weighs 13 pounds, 12 ounces, and is 24.25 inches long. He had to have shots today and it broke my heart to see his so upset but he slept for awhile afterwards and was in a good mood this evening so hopefully there's no side effects from them tomorrow!

Quiet House Again

It's been a long weekend here at the Arnold-Plotner household. Thursday evening I had a test at Parkland and mom came into town to watch Ramsay. She also spent the night as she had some minor surgery done on Friday so I was off of work that day so I could take her. She spent the weekend with us since she wasn't sure how well she would feel afterwards and she can't use her left arm for to many things. She did great though and hasn't been in a lot of pain.
I think the only exciting thing we did this weekend was mom, Ramsay, and I ventured out to the mall Saturday afternoon to stroll around and get some exercise. Of course I did a little shopping and bought Ramsay a couple things that I found on clearance.
Larry did a lot of cooking this weekend since mom was here so we all ate very well! Saturday morning I made a coffee cake for everyone and for dinner Larry made Chicken Manicotti. It was DELICIOUS! Of course he took the recipe I had but "tweaked" it to his desire. This morning he made a frittata for breakfast and we had italian beef for lunch. I think I gained 10 pounds just from eating all the yummy food we had!
Mom finally went home this afternoon. She was feeling up to venturing home and being on her own. It was nice having her here for a few days but it's nice to have our place all to ourselves again and just some quiet time, just me and my guys. :)
