4 Months Old and Major Milestones
Wow, what a weekend this has been for our big boy! Today he turned 4 months old. Can you believe it? Time is just flying by but we're loving every single minute of it! Ramsay had some pretty big milestones this weekend. Friday night he got his first taste of cereal. We tried giving it to him with a spoon but he really didn't care for that. He's been eating about every 2.5 hours and at least 7 ounces at a time, sometimes close to 8 ounces, and he just seems to be hungry so soon afterwards so we thought maybe the cereal would help out but we haven't noticed a difference at all with his appetite. Here he is tasting cereal for the first time! :)
Another HUGE milestone was that Ramsay finally rolled over! He hasn't quite gotten the hang of rolling over from his back to his stomach just yet but he can do from his stomach to his back which is so exciting! I was so happy to get to see him do it as I thought it would probably happen one day while I was at work!
Another great thing to add to his list of milestones this weekend is laughing! Ramsay and I were playing peek-a-boo and he got to laughing SO HARD! I had never heard him laugh like that before. Papa and I were so excited and got so tickled at him!
I'm pretty sure our big guy is working on some teeth as well! He's been drooling a lot and always has to have something in his mouth, either his fingers, sophie, or he razberry teether. He's been kind of fussy the past few days as well so I think it's just a matter of time before we see a little white something poking out of the gums!
Yesterday we went to Mattoon to visit my grandma. She hadn't seen Ramsay since right after Thanksgiving so we were overdue for a visit!

Date Night!
Larry and I had a long awaited date night on Friday night. We had an amazing evening! Since Valentine's day was last week and Larry's birthday is this week we decided it was time to treat ourselves! We started the evening with hour long massages from BodyWorks at the ARCH on campus. We didn't get to be in the same room but that was okay with us! We just enjoyed an hour of pampering without having to worry about our beautiful baby boy! After our massages we went to Ko Fusion for dinner. All I can say is WOW!!! It was amazing! I don't think I have eaten anywhere where every single that I ate was fantastic. We started off with the Seafood Cheese Roll which was so absolutely delicious! I could have just eaten that all night long! Next we tried the Strawberry and Goat Cheese salad. I really liked this salad a lot! For our entrees Larry ordered Scallops in Light Curry and I ordered the Natural American Kurobuta Pork Loin which was outstanding! And the vegetables that came with it were delicious!! After dinner we ventured to Cakes on Walnut and got a couple cupcakes to take home for dessert later on. We also picked up a cupcake to take home to our wonderful babysitter for the evening! Thanks to her we were able to have a great evening and not have to worry one bit about our baby alligator although it was VERY hard for me since I didn't get to go home after work and before our massages so I only got to see Ramsay for a short while in the morning before I left for work. That was hard for me but we had a great evening so it was worth it!
Saturday Ramsay and I ventured out shopping together so give Papa some free time. I try to do something with Ramsay on the weekends where it's just the two of us so we get some time in together and Larry gets a break since he's with him all week long. Ramsay is such a trooper when it comes to running around! Usually once he gets in his carrier in the car he is out like a light! But when he is awake he enjoys riding in his stroller and looking at all the people around!
We went to the mall and of course any time I am at the mall I have to stop in The Children's Place just to see if they are having any good sales. We have found that they have the best sleepers and they fit him so well! So I bought a few since they were on sale and of course Papa was happy. I washed them Saturday night and Papa had to put a new one on him yesterday. I thought this sleeper was so cute and he is definitely our Good Luck Charm!

El Toro is Open!
It's Sunday evening and man am I exhausted, but from what? We did a lot this weekend but yet not, if that makes sense. Yesterday was spent running some errands around town and we purchased a freezer and got it home yesterday afternoon. We ran out of freezer space in the freezer attached to the fridge so we had to purchase a separate one just to put milk in for Ramsay. He definitely isn't going to go hungry any time soon!
Today we got up and venture to Monticello to have Ramsay's 3 month pictures taken. He was such a great trooper the entire time and with our many outfit changes. He didn't smile as much as I wanted him to as he seemed to be very fascinated with the camera but I'm pretty sure she was able to still get a lot of great pictures. I can't wait to see our little "cupid"! :o)
After pictures we grocery shopped and man did we need groceries! Since we weren't able to put anything in our freezer, we had become very empty with meat so we had to stock up on freezer goods! After we got home and put groceries away, we were so exhausted that we decided not to cook dinner but instead venture downstairs to El Toro! El Toro finally opened up Friday and man has it been a busy place! Never before have we lived in a place where we can go downstairs and eat in a restaurant. It was nice and since we're just upstairs we were able to take Ramsay's high chair with us so he could sit like a big boy at the table with us. I have a feeling Ramsay and I are going to get to know the staff at El Toro pretty well!

Jibber Jabber of Ramsay
Ramsay talking up a storm while playing on his play mat. He sure does have A LOT to say. Just wish we knew what exactly he was saying! lol

Our New Favorite Hang Out
This weekend wasn't a very exciting weekend for our family. It's been so cold out still that we just haven't ventured out much, at least not all of us together. We really don't like to get Ramsay out in this weather if we don't have to.
Yesterday we did venture out for a couple hours to our new favorite hang out, the Champaign Public Library. Papa is in love with this place since it's filled with so many wonderful books about cooking! (He also loves the movie section as well!) We spent a couple hours there yesterday afternoon which was nice. I took the laptop and school work so I could take a test and Papa found lots of cooking books to check out and take home. He also got a couple videos for Ramsay to watch. Ramsay LOVES the TV, which I hate to admit, but as long as we have videos playing that are educational for him then I'm all for it. He loves Baby Einstein videos and it's funny because Papa and I find ourselves singing the songs, even after Ramsay is in bed!
Yesterday was the Super Bowl and since we're not football people we didn't turn it on and watch it. We spent the evening cuddling with our baby boy and watching movies. Best way to end the weekend if you ask me! Ramsay was so tuckered out since he hardly napped yesterday, that we ended up giving him his bedtime bottle about 45 minutes early and he fell asleep while drinking it. He was in bed asleep before 7:00 p.m. last night and didn't get up until 7:00 a.m. this morning. I love that he sleeps through the night.
