2 Months Old

Ramsay turned 2 months old yesterday and I can hardly believe it! Time is just flying by! He's turning into such a big boy it brings tears to my eyes just how quickly he is growing. Last we had him at the doctor he was 9 pounds 1 ounce and 22 inches long. He is growing like a weed! Since he turned a month old we've been using cloth diapers on him and they are working out great! They have to be changed a bit more often than disposable diapers but we don't mind at all. It's also nice because he actually let's us know if he needs changed since he can "feel" it if he's pottied. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come when it comes time to potty train when he's older. We've also started a new venture in that we are now making our own baby wipes. It's simple and easy and they smell really good! It's amazing how picky one can be when it comes to baby wipes. Some are to dry, some are to wet, some don't smell. We thought we would give it a try and it's worked out pretty good so far.
It's been a little over a week now since we moved Ramsay into his crib in his room at night and so far he's done an amazing job! Typically he will have his last bottle of the night between 10 and 10:30p.m. and then we swaddle him, and I read him a story, then put him into his crib. He's done a great job of not being fussy when he's put down and falls asleep quickly. I normally get him up at 7:00a.m., just before I leave for work so he can eat and get his day started. We're very lucky to have such a great little guy.
It's been nice to have this week off to spend with Ramsay. I cherish every moment I have at home with him since Papa gets so much time with him now!

Ramsay's 1st Christmas

Here it is, Sunday evening and I haven't left our place since early Friday morning and I must say, I have enjoyed spending the weekend with my two favorite guys in the entire world! We were supposed to go to a family gathering Christmas Eve night but since the weather got bad we decided we better stay at home as we didn't want to venture out with Ramsay in the mess. Christmas morning our precious baby boy didn't get up until we woke him up about 7:30 a.m. I guess we should enjoy that while we can because once he realizes that Santa comes on Christmas Even, they'll be no sleeping in for us for a few years! We got up and opened our gifts and then just relaxed around the house all day. Grandma Paula came over to celebrate with us so that was nice. Even though we didn't do anything, we were all exhausted by the end of the day!

He had just gotten up and kept stretching and stretching! We swaddled him at night so as soon as he's "free" from that in the mornings he just stretches as big as he can!

We are lucky that we have such a happy baby in the mornings! He's always full of smiles when he wakes up!

Papa is showing Ramsay how to open presents. This for me was very entertaining but Ramsay seemed to be very interested in everything that Papa was saying!

So far Christmas has been pretty good to Ramsay. We aren't hearing any complaints from him!

We both survived...

Ramsay and I both survived my first week back at work. It was hard leaving my little man in the mornings to go back to work but seeing his smiling face every day when I got home was worth it!

It's hard to believe he is going to be 8 weeks old on Wednesday! We are taking him to the doctor today for his 8 week check-up and he gets shots this visit. I think this is really going to hurt mommy bunches!!
This week is a big week for Ramsay with his doctors appointment, his first Christmas, and he turns two months old next Monday. Where has the time gone already! It's amazing how much he has changed since he was born and he's now sleeping in his crib in his room. I thought Papa was either going to cry or end up sleeping on the floor next to the crib. I have to remind him that he can't spoil him that much and it's okay for him to cry sometimes! Well, it's okay for Ramsay to cry sometimes, not Papa!
I am looking forward to a short work week this week and then I will be off until the first of the year so I'll get to spend some more time with my handsome fella! I can't wait!!!

The End Is Near.........

Well, this is it. Today is my last full day home before returning to work tomorrow. Part of me is ready to get out and be back in a normal routine but the other part is sad to be leaving my baby boy everyday. He will be in good hands though with Papa, as long as Papa doesn't teach him bad things! We are lucky enough that Larry will be home with him during the day so we don't have to worry about daycare, which makes it a little bit easier for me to return to work.
Just this week we were able to view Ramsay's newborn pictures that were taken a few weeks ago. They turned out great! I can't believe how much he has changed already. Time sure is flying by!





Tonight I have a final for one of my classes so I am looking forward to that being over with. I have my other final due by Thursday evening and then I'll have a few weeks off to just relax and enjoy no homework and spending time with my boys. I will be taking the week off between Christmas and New Years so it will be nice to spend some more time with Ramsay before I dive back into working full time and doing school part time. Hopefully he cooperates since Papa will be in class four nights a week next semester which leaves me with him four nights a week when I need to be doing homework. So far he's been a great baby so I have no doubts that he will continue to be! He's doing really well with sleeping at night which is great and often doesn't get up to eat and let's us sleep in a bit. We are very blessed with our precious little angel baby!

Ramsay is FINALLY big enough to wear his cloth diapers! Mama is very happy about this! He was to small to begin with to wear them properly so we had to wait until he gained enough weight. On his one month birthday he started wearing them and so far so good. I'm very happy with using them and laundry hasn't been that bad with them. Just think of all the money we'll be saving not having to use disposable diapers all the time! We are still putting him in a disposable at night as he tends to pee alot during the night and would pee out of his cloth diaper in no time! He looks so darn cute in his gDiaper. I can't wait until the warmer weather when he can run around with just his diaper on!

All I Want For Christmas

Today Papa and I ventured out to the mall for a bit (mostly so I could get out of the house) so Ramsay could see Santa for the first time! Poor little guy was asleep the entire time he was with Santa so he didn't get a chance to tell Santa what he wanted! Mama and Papa got the best gift of all this year, our beautiful baby boy!

One Month Old!

Wow! It's hard to believe our precious baby boy is already a month old! Time is going by soooooooooo fast! Our angel baby is such a joy! We are loving each and every moment we have with him. Life is AMAZING! When my brother and I were little my mom use to make signs every month and take our pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving

Ramsay celebrated his very first Thanksgiving yesterday and boy was he was tuckered out little boy when it was all over with! Grandma PP (Paula), Grandma Jeanette, Grandpa Larry, Great Grandma Carolyn, and our friend Katie all joined us for our Thanksgiving celebration. Papa cooked an amazing dinner for us all and of course everyone brought a dish to share as well. We had lots of food so our fridge is full of leftovers which is GREAT! Unfortunately Auntie Brielle wasn't feeling well so she didn't get to join us and celebrate with Ramsay. I'm sure we'll see her sometime this weekend so she can spoil her nephew. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

One Month Appt.

Today Ramsay had his one month appt.! Hard to believe he is going to be four weeks old on Wednesday and a month old on Saturday! It sure has flown by! We were happy to learn that he gained a good amount of weight since his last appointment and he now weighs 7 pounds, 14 ounces. I was one happy mama when I saw that! He is doing really well at eating these days and has no problems finishing a bottle! He's doing a great job at sleeping during the night to. He only gets up once during the night to eat and then goes back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. We are pretty blessed with out perfect little angel! I will have a hard time going back to work in a couple weeks but I will really look forward to coming home every day to our smiling baby boy! He's such a joy, I don't know what we did with out lives before he came along. We are very blessed and have lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday!

Beautiful Baby Boy

Well, not a lot has changed or happened since last weekend. Ramsay is doing great and we are loving every minute we have with him! He's such a great baby and rarely cries or fusses. He's getting really good at sleeping at night as well. He will usually eat between 10pm & 11pm and then he'll wake up once during the night to eat, usually 3am or a little after, and then he goes back to sleep for a couple more hours. He's doing great and is changing every day! It will be hard for me to go back to work but knowing that he'll be with daddy every day will make it a bit easier, as long as daddy doesn't take him to Hooters like he's been threatening to do!

Hard to believe..............

That our baby boy is two weeks old tomorrow. Where has the time gone already? Things have been going very well. He's such a great baby and very rarely cries. We are really blessed! He's also doing great on nursing which we are very thankful for. He does really well with bottles as well which is nice because that means mommy gets a break every now and then and daddy gets a chance to feed Ramsay.
I'm going a bit stir crazy being at home pretty much all day every day. Thank goodness the weather has been nice the past couple days and we have gotten out a little bit. Ramsay and I are spending tomorrow evening at my mom's place while daddy goes to class so it will be nice to get out for awhile and hopefully we will get a walk in as well since it will be nice out.

One Week Old

Hard to believe that our baby boy is a week old already! We are loving every single minute with him! He is such a joy and a great addition to our lives. It's hard to think about what we did before he came!

Precious Little Face

Happy Halloween!!

Ramsay was sporting a cute Halloween outfit all day long that his Auntie Brielle got him. Poor little guy is smaller than we thought he was going to be so this is the first outfit he's worn that has actually fit him! Everything else is to big.
Papa and I ventured out shopping for the first time yesterday and went to All Things Kids and bought Ramsay some clothes that he can wear!
Things are going well and we're adjusting to our new lives as a family of three. It's amazing to me how easy it came to both of us. Ramsay was definitely meant to be a part of our lives and we couldn't imagine it without him now! He's been the perfect addition and such a good baby. He wakes up every couple hours during the night to eat but it's gone well so far. We are enjoying every minute we have with him!
Friday and Saturday we had visitors pretty much all day so today has been the first day that it's just been the three of us and we are loving it! Hard to believe Ramsay is already 4 days old.................time is flying by already.
Here's a picture we took of Ramsay on Friday. He was all dressed up in his baby chef outfit and was looking so adorable! Papa can't wait until he's old enough to help out in the kitchen.

Ramsay Maze Arnold has arrived!!!

Larry and I welcomed our precious baby boy, Ramsay Maze Arnold, into our family at 1:59am on Wednesday, October 27th. He weighs 7 pounds, 10 ounces, is 19 inches long and the most beautiful baby in the entire world! We went into the hospital Tuesday morning at 7:30am to be induced but our baby boy was a little stubborn and waited until early the next morning to arrive. It was a long day with lots of hard work from both him and I, but we managed and he arrived safe and sound and couldn't be more perfect!
Yes, those are tears coming from my eyes just moments after Ramsay arrived and was placed on my belly! It was truly an amazing moment to know that that little miracle had been cooking inside for 9 months and we were so happy to finally meet him!

Daddy was all about doing the first diaper change and has really been a trooper at doing most of the diaper changes. It's been great for me!

Finally, home at last! So far things have been going good. The kitties aren't to sure what to think about him though. Nimbus doesn't like it when Ramsay cries. He gets worried and goes to check on him. He's going to make a great big brother kitty for Ramsay!

So for those inquiring about Ramsay's name, he was named after the famous Chef Gordon Ramsay (ya know, since Papa is working on becoming a chef!) and his middle name, Maze, is one of Chef Ramsay's restaurants in London.
